Course Description

The first in a projected series of elementary level mini-courses introducing students to various ancient cultures. The self-paced "Wisdom of Aesop" introduces Ancient Greece through assigned readings, Greek and Latin etymology, brief historical and cultural background studies, and geography projects tracing Aesop's travels. Additionally, creative writing assignments stimulate students' thinking and communication skills.

Students with sufficient typing skills can enjoy discussing their writing projects and responses to the readings with one another in their own private "Scriptorium".
